A key element to the #MartinezWay approach to exercise is mixing things up. So I’m ready to do something different in my online work out routine–a little Pinterest fitness. I’ve been on Facebook and Twitter a while and now I’m ready to flex some virtual muscle with the much talked about Pinterest. Why? It’s easy and it’s visual!
Pinterest is a good way to exercise–exercise your fingers, eyes, and mind. LOL. I was introduced to it over a month ago and found there’s a lot people “working out” on it, pinning images of healthy food, fitness and exercise. So I created a few boards to “warm up” sort of speak.
But, I think it would be more fun creating boards with friends–that would be YOU! Show me or tell me through images, quotes, and videos what motivates you to get fit on what Pinterest calls a community board.
This new board on my Pinterest profile will be titled, “What Motivates Me.“ Knowing sometimes the hardest part of getting fit is staying motivated, I want this board to be a place where you will:
- Share what gets and keeps you out of a slump when it comes to exercise and eating healthy.
- Share new ideas or things you’ve learned about health and nutrition as you’ve been working out
- Pin some images of your before and after results that might help others set some new goals
- Have some fun with exercise. Everything doesn’t have to be so serious! Post some funny images, quotes, or videos about dieting and exercise ’cause I want to laugh too!
So how do we get this new Pinterest board popping? First, in the comments below share your Pinterest usernameso it can be added to the list of board contributors. I’ll have my team checking for your usernames and adding them.
Secondly, follow me on Pinterest. That, along with your username, should ensure you can pin to the community board. If you don’t have an account, set one up. But y’all, don’t pin anything that will get me or you in trouble with the social media po-po or anybody else. Lol. And yes, I’ll follow back and repin.
And the last thing. Have some fun with this! Show me and everyone what motivates you to exercise when you’d rather not. Got workout jokes? Share them too so we can all laugh. Make comments, repin, acquire some new online friends. Let’s get a little Pinterest party going! I am eager to see what y’all come up with.
